Tell me about your show NewsRevue and why people should come and see it?

NewsRevue has been appearing in Edinburgh for over 37 years and is going to bring you a blast of satirical comedy like you have never seen before! It's fast paced, quick witted and holds nothing back ... No one is safe! You will be singing along to all our catchy tunes whilst wiping the tears from your eyes from laughing so hard (hopefully).

News Revue - Edinburgh Festival 2016

Which performers have inspired you & how?

Anyone who has the desire and drive to get up on a stage or in front of a crowd of people are my inspiration, in particular a comedian - Alice Marshall and her one woman show : Vicious. Her comedy is impeccable and she gives a very human aspect to character comedy and is quite frankly hilarious.

I often say choosing a favourite gin is like choosing between my children (which is why I don't have any) - What's your desert island gin & why?

Hendricks without hesitation as it has magical powers ...

I have many different favourite bars depending on the occasion. What's your favourite venue for:

A. A Dry Martini & Date Night?

B. A Red Snapper (Gin Bloody Mary) & Brunch? C. Gin & a party?

A) The Four Thieves in Clapham is fab for date night as it serves really reasonably priced drinks and has its own arcade upstairs with mini golf!

B) All Bar One in Covent Garden does a mean Red Snapper!

C) Love my local pub - The Grove in Battersea, a really fun and chilled place.

The Grove, Battersea

Why Edfringe? What's the best bits?

Honestly.... This is my first Edfringe ! So I am really excited to see what my best bits are going to be !

How did you get into performing?

I started singing from a very early age and sort of discovered more and more about what types of things I could do that involved me being in front of people and try to entertain them.

What do you love most about performing?

The friendships you make, the buzz you get, the experiences you share, the response from audiences, there's so many things!

And the worst bits?

The lack of work for people who have chosen this as a career!

Do you have any recommended reads for performers?

Anything that helps you be inspired and determined.... The Alchemist is a pretty good one for that.

What are your Edfringe / Performing goals?

To enjoy every minute, give it my all and remind myself how lucky I am !

What advice do you have for aspiring Edfringe Performers ?

Get in there early, do all the promo and believe in what you can do!

If you were a gin or a gin cocktail which would you be and why?

A Bramble because it is the most delish cocktail ever and sometimes gets served with a custard cream which is a bonus !

If you could share a Dry Martini with anyone who would it be?

Anyone who was really thirsty or Sarah Millican.

What's your pet Edfringe hate?

Don't know .... So far nothing!

If you aren't drinking Gin what is your tipple?

All the wine or Prosecco.
