Tell me about your show Poena-5x1 and why people should come and see it?
It's a dystopian Scandi noir thriller about sex, politics and the power of love (all the fashionable stuff). It's already had two 4-star reviews and the Traverse and The Royal Court all think it's pretty good.
Which performers have inspired you & how?
Joe Orton, because he was't afraid to break boundaries and Peter Brook because he always spins pure gold from the tiniest threads.
I often say choosing a favourite gin is like choosing between my children (which is why I don't have any) - What's your desert island gin & why?
Dutch gin, especially oude (old), because it reminds me of my childhood. Don't ask.
I have many different favourite bars depending on the occasion.
What's your favourite venue for:
A. A Dry Martini & Date Night?
B. A Red Snapper (Gin Bloody Mary) & Brunch?
C. Gin & a party?
Why Edfringe? What's the best bits?
Flyering (yes, really, I love the interaction), the vibe (everyone doing great shows all around you), the contact with other performers and exposure to other ideas and ways of performing.
How did you get into performing?

What are your Edfringe / Performing goals?
I'd like us to make our mark for doing things our own way and being true to our ideas and artistic values.
What advice do you have for aspiring Edfringe Performers ?
Bring your whole heart and soul. Don't leave any of it at home. Have fun. Drink in the vibe. Put everything down to experience, the good bits as well the bad. Don't believe the hype.
If you were a gin or a gin cocktail which would you be and why?
A Fallen Angel, because I used to be a choirboy.
If you could share a Dry Martini with anyone who would it be?
YOU!
What's your pet Edfringe hate?
Performers who don't understand that Edinburgh is about everyone rubbing along together.
If you aren't drinking Gin what is your tipple?
Cloudy French Cider.
Any other pearls of wisdom or Edfringe rants?
No wisdom. Many rants over the years but all forgotten now.
